Adult Stem Cell Therapy

In 2008, we came across adult stem cell therapy through our continuous online search for others who sought ways to regain their health through cutting edge treatments, new therapies, technology and research. Zannos Grekos, MD, FAAC is an invasive cardiologist with extensive experience and training in the field of stem cell therapy. In collaboration with major international treatment and research centers, he has developed many of the protocols used for adult stem cell therapy throughout the world. Dr. Grekos also trains physicians in the evaluation and treatment of patients receiving stem cell therapy. He was recently appointed to the Science Advisory Board of the United States’ Repair Stem Cell Institute and is a member of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR).

After we made initial contact and spoke with Dr. Grekos, we were determined to have Mailia considered as a potential candidate for adult stem cell therapy so she could begin treatment for her Eisenmenger’s.

Through Dr. Grekos’ clinic, we learned of a relatively new patient who recently underwent a stem cell transplant. “Cal” was also affected by pulmonary hypertension secondary to an (ASD) heart defect and had a hole in his heart, similar to Mailia. The purpose of Mailia's website is two fold.  One to assist us in raising donations both personally and through a non-profit organization to offset the costs of stem cell treatments and her future heart surgeries and secondly to keep those interested posted on our experience with the procedures as well as Mailia’s personal progress so it may be a blessing for someone else who has been given no hope or options.  We will regularly update where we are in terms of reaching our financial goals. .
